PAPI 3.0.6 - the first non-beta release of PAPI 3 - is now available
on Tungsten and Cobalt in /usr/apps/tools/papi3.  The SoftEnv key +papi3
is available on both systems.

NCSA's web documentation primarily reflects PAPI 2.x and will be revised
soon so that the available event listing corresponds with PAPI 3 and
systems no longer in production (Platinum, Titan) will be removed.

Software written to use the PAPI high-level routines shouldn't need any
changes, but people using the PAPI 2 low-level API will have to make
appropriate changes to update their applications, as PAPI 3 is now the
official production/supported version of PAPI.
