The perfctr userspace library and perfex have been recompiled for the
new kernel and perfctr 2.6.5 on Tungsten.  Updated links and executables
are available in /usr/apps/tools/perfctr.  The older versions are
underneath this directory as well (but will not work on any current Tungsten
head or compute nodes).

perfex is in /usr/apps/tools/perfctr/bin.  If you get an error message
like "perfex: open perfctrs: No such file or directory", it means
that the /dev/perfctr device hasn't yet been created on that node...
systems in in the process of fixing this.
