perfex has been updated on Platinum using the version from the
most recent perfctr release (2.4.9pl1) that is compatible with
the kernel on that cluster.

Location: /usr/apps/tools/bin

A fresh rebuild of perfctr software that should be compatible with 
Platinum's kernel is also available in /usr/apps/tools/perfctr
