VProf from Sandia National Labs is now available on Mercury. This is a version that has been patched for use with PAPI 3. Note that profiling in the default way may not be functional with all compilers (you may get a segfault, if so a workaround is to use PAPI_TOT_CYC along with an appropriate sampling frequency through the VMON_FREQ environment variable).
