PAPI version 3.0.4 beta, released on 7/29/04, is now available on
Tungsten in the directory /usr/apps/tools/papi3.  More improvements
in this version as a final PAPI 3 release approaches.

Related: Tungsten is now using the 2.6.8 version of the perfctr hardware
performance counter driver.  NCSA Web docs have been modified to
reflect these changes.
