MyProxy 0.5.2 released, MyProxy Bugzilla now available, and Java CoG compatibility note
MyProxy 0.5.2 is now available from
<http://www.ncsa.uiuc.edu/Divisions/NSM/GST/MyProxy/>. This version adds
two MyProxy administrative commands: myproxy-admin-query and
myproxy-admin-load-credential. The myproxy-admin-query command allows the
MyProxy administrator to perform simple queries against the contents of the
MyProxy repository, to obtain information similar to what myproxy-info
provides to users about their credentials. The
myproxy-admin-load-credential command allows the MyProxy administrator to
load credentials directly into the MyProxy repository with associated
policies and passphrases. This supports loading long-term credentials into
the repository on behalf of users for those sites that are interested in
this functionality.
MyProxy now has a Bugzilla system for bug tracking at
<http://bugzilla.ncsa.uiuc.edu/>. Please use this system to report MyProxy
bugs to the MyProxy team.
Also, a note about Java CoG compatibility: We've discovered that the GSI
libraries in Globus Toolkit 2.2 are incompatible with Java CoG versions
before 1.0. MyProxy 0.5 uses the GT 2.2 GSI libraries and is therefore
affected by this incompatibility. The recommendation from the CoG team at
this time is to upgrade to a more recent version of the Java CoG Kit which
is compatible with the latest MyProxy release. Version 1.1a of the Java
CoG Kit is now available from <http://www-unix.globus.org/cog/java/>.
