Re: Cross-compiler

Mike, that is a very dated comment from versions before 2.0.1; the current version uses the autoconf tools:

http://www.gnu.org/software/autoconf/

which, among other benefits, should standardize cross-compiler support. I don't have much experience with cross-compilation, but perhaps others on the list do. I'll update the page. Thanks !

On your web page I notice the comment:

" If your C/C++ compiler is a cross-compiler, it runs into problems with
Iperf configure scripts. The solution is generally to try out different
compilers and check which of them is not a cross-compiler. We expect to
come up with a better solution shortly."

I need to compile IPerf to run on an embedded processor, and so need to
use a cross-compiler on a Linux host.

Have you made any progress on this "better solution"?

If not, can you give me some pointers of the places I may need to modify
the scripts by hand?

Thx
Mike
