and since this went to all the  beacon folks as well, something I 
should have added is that the buoy part is all unicast based, there's 
no multicast testing on the buoys, they're just in stratigic 
locations so they double as beacon clients.  those of you that are 
interested in seeing what we're talking about anyway, 
<http://dclmr-buoy.gw.uiuc.edu> and look at buoy instead of beacon.
