Hi, Marshall -- You also need the Perl Time::HiRes module.  

This is documented in the README/INSTALL files -- I might see about trying
to bundle that module with the tarball later, but for now, if your
installation doesn't have Time:HiRes then you'll have to install it to run
the Beacon.
