Narration or "Track"
Digitize from DVE Tape A as follows:
If you write a script for your video production that drives the story line, you'll need to record this separately as a "voice-over" or "track."

What's being "voiced-over" here is the footage that goes into the final piece. The narration is written specifically to draw the attention of the viewer to what they're seeing in the video. As you might expect, narration plays a very important role in a lot of educational programs and some types of documentaries. Try watching a typical science documentary (e.g. NOVA) with the sound turned off. Quickly you'll lose the thread of the program.
