Computing the X-Ray Universe Movie: text
Adding a third dimension
The preceeding illustration is not a realistic model of the
universe, as space
was represented in only two dimensions. With the aid of
massively parallel
computers, we have been able to simulate a large block of the
universe at high
spatial resolution in three dimensions.
