COBE Satellite: Credits

Illustration of the COBE satellite showing locations of its three measurement instruments. The COBE satellite was developed by NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center to measure the diffuse infrared and microwave radiation from the early universe, to the limi ts set by our astrophysical environment. It was launched November 18, 1989.

This image is fromthe COBE home page (http://www.gsfc.nasa.gov/astro/cobe/cobe_home.html). The COBE datasets were developed by the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center under the guidance of the COBE Science Working Group and were provided by the National Space Science Data Center (NSSDC).
