Code is Starting to Work

Most of week 1 and half of week 2 were spent catching up on the software and hardware in the grafiXlab. The last part of week 2 was spent coding a key piece of the Analyst project.

Progress Thus Far

1. Prepared and presented a seminar on numeric integration
2. Met with Karen concerning the Analyst project and corresponded through email
3. Coded the preliminary computational piece of the Analyst project
4. Started debugging initial code versions of Analyst and tried verifying computations using Mathematica

I'm having trouble verifying that the code for the Analyst is working properly. It may be a problem with the accuracy of the integrator, but the values converge to certain numbers as the number of steps increases. Unfortunately, the number that they converge to are not the numbers given by Mathematica. This past weekend I have been trying to debug the code and also started working on the knot graphic for the t-shirt design.

Proposed Work for Weeks 3 and 4

1. Finalize computational piece of Analyst
2. Use the program output to create graphs in illiSkel that can help verify that the program works properly
3. Determine the most appropriate way of inputting functions and begin coding on that portion
4. Write code for the convolution portion of the Analyst
